An Embarrassing Appointment

David was the boy who I liked very much. However, I just fell in love with him secretly. I did not know whenther he liked me. He was a vigorous and handsome boy. Many girls in our university liked him. When he played basketball, many girls went to cheer him on. Of course, I also did such things. In fact, I did not think that he had noticed me.Anything was impossible. Unexpectedly, David invited me to have dinner with him. I could not believe that it was true. I was a commom girl who wore a black pair of glasses. I was too excited to know how to make myself more attractive. One of my good friends advised me to remove that black pair of glasses. She said that I’d better not wear a pair of glasses. I saw myself in the mirror and found that my eyes were so beautiful. So I decided to accept my friend’s suggestion though I was near-sighted. I dressed up beautifully to have my desirable appointment.During the dinner, we talked a lot about basketball. David was very humourous. We were both very happy to have dinner together. When he said that he was attracted by my big and bright eyes, I felt lucky to remove my glasses. Unluckily, David suggested that we could go to the movie after dinner. I really wanted to tell him that I was near-sighted and that I couldn’t see things clearly without my glasses. At last, I gave up the thought. In order to have much more time to stay with him, I accepted his invitation. I had never seen the movie. Because we sat in the back, I could just see misty pictures. What was worse, after seeing the movie, David talked about it with me. In fact, I knew little about the movie. I had to tell the truth that I couldn’t see things clearly without my glasses. David felt that I was too lovely. He was not angry. He took me to buy a pair of contact lenses. He said that the contact lenses would not affect my beauty and could help me see things clearly. It was really an embarrassing appointment.
